Worship
We gather for worship every Sunday morning at 10:30. Sunday morning worship is traditional, warm, and inviting. It embraces the richness of Christian tradition and integrates the relevance of Scripture's ancient truths with today's needs and concerns. Music is an important part of our worship. We enjoy blending the best of traditional hymns and contemporary praise music.
Like our music, you will find our people are a blend of traditions, backgrounds, and ages as well. You'll find some in their finest suits and dresses, and others in comfortable blue jeans or other casual wear. We believe style isn't a big deal to God. He invites us to come as we are, and promises He'll take care of the rest!
The Evangelical Covenant Church observes two sacraments: baptism and communion. By sacrament, we mean God uses common things like water, bread, and wine (or grape juice) in extraordinary ways to deepen our relationship with God. Sacraments are an important part of the life of God's children.
We baptize infants or new believers during worship when the occasion arises, and we celebrate communion or the Lord's Supper, on the first Sunday of each month and at other special occassions. Communion is open to every person who has trusted Jesus Christ for their salvation regardless of their age, church membership or affiliation.
